How to use
TIP: it’s best to remove cuticles after bathing or a 5–10-minute hand bath. The warm water softens the cuticles, making them more pliable. This makes them easier to remove and is gentler on the skin.
To trim cuticles, place your thumb and middle finger through the round finger holes, also known as rings. Place your index finger on top of the middle-finger ring. Position the scissors over the cuticle and carefully trim it using the ultra-fine pointed tips. Only remove loose, remnant skin.
Hygiene first! Clean and disinfect the scissors regularly.
Cleaning and care
Here are our tips on caring for your stainless-steel scissors to help extend their lifespan.
Cleaning after each use
| 🔺 | Wipe away any residue or dust using a soft cloth. |
| 🔺 | If necessary, clean with lukewarm water and mild soap, then dry thoroughly. |
| 🔺 | Optional: use an alcohol-based disinfectant such as rubbing alcohol to remove germs. |
Store correctly
| 🔺 | Store in a dry place, ideally in a case or a protective cover |
| 🔺 | Do not store in damp environments such as bathrooms as long-term exposure to moisture can damage even stainless steel. |
Disinfect regularly
| 🔺 | Disinfect every few weeks with 70% isopropanol or a dedicated scissor disinfectant. |
| 🔺 | A UV disinfection box can also be useful. |
Oil the joint
| 🔺 | From time to time, add a drop of high-quality machine or scissor oil to the joint to keep it moving smoothly. |
| 🔺 | Remove any excess oil with a cloth. |
Sharpen as required
| 🔺 | If your scissors become blunt, get them professionally sharpened by BECKER. |
With proper care, your stainless-steel cuticle scissors will remain sharp and hygienic for a long time.
